Well, the bags are packed - again. (We had to do some quick juggling when I discovered that the International portion of our trip had lower carryon allowances than the US flight.) Jimmie has done the pre-flight, online check-in and printed our boarding passes. It looks like the only thing left is heading to the airport in the morning. Thomas Reid, one of the elders at the Duluth congregation, will be driving us the 40 or so miles to the southwest side of Atlanta. From there we fly to Boston then on to Iceland, arriving early Wednesday morning just after the sun comes up. The weather experts say the temperature will be in the 30s with a little rain and wind when we step off the plane. Brrrr! But the forecast for the end of the week is that the thermometer will soar into the 50s. Heat Wave!!!
I will try to keep in touch on a regular basis if I possibly can. If there is something you have always wanted to know about Iceland, or you just want to say "hi", make a comment at the end of any of the posts and we should get it.
Please keep us - and the Hill and Howard families - in your prayers.
- Linda
